How it works

Four steps from generic resume to targeted application

  1. Step 1

    Add your profile

Upload a resume, paste your LinkedIn profile or start from scratch. We pull out your skills and experience in seconds.

  2. Step 2

    Pick a target

Choose a company and role, or let us suggest the best-fit roles for your profile and pay expectations.

  3. Step 3

    Get your changes

We compare your resume with the company's postings, the profiles it hires and how its ATS reads resumes.

  4. Step 4

    Apply with precision

Export a version tailored to that role. Each application gets its own version, not one PDF for everything.

What makes it different

Built on how companies actually hire

Company-specific language

Two companies hiring for the same title often stress different things, such as distributed systems in one and system design at scale in another. Your resume is rewritten to match each target.

ATS-friendly formatting

Formatting and keywords tuned for how major applicant tracking systems (Lever, Greenhouse, iCIMS, Darwinbox, Workday) parse resumes.

How you compare

See how your profile stacks up against the people who typically get hired for the role, and where to stand out.

Pay before you negotiate

See the P25 / P50 / P75 range for the role and city, and where your experience puts you in it.

The right level

Applying a level up? Your experience is reframed in language that fits the level you are targeting.

Career paths

Not sure what to target? See realistic next roles and stretch roles based on career paths of people like you.

The difference

Generic resumes get generic results

You would not pitch the same deck to every investor. The same goes for your resume.

Generic resume

  • One PDF sent to every company
  • Your vocabulary, not the company's
  • No idea how the company's ATS reads it
  • Same story whatever the level
  • Pay expectations based on guesswork

Targeted with Kynoa

  • A tailored version for each company and role
  • Keywords drawn from the company's own postings
  • Formatting suited to the ATS they use
  • A narrative pitched at the level you want
  • A pay range backed by market data

How it is free

A fair exchange, explained plainly

Resume Targeting is free because anonymised, aggregated data helps power the market statistics we sell to companies.

You get

Targeted resumes, pay ranges, skills gap analysis and career suggestions, free.

We get

Anonymised, aggregated statistics (for example, typical pay for a role in a city) that power our enterprise products.

We never

Sell or share your individual profile. Companies only ever see aggregates of 50 or more people.

Your data, your control

Encrypted

AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit.

Stored in India

All personal data stays on AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1).

Delete any time

Delete your profile and all its data whenever you like. It is removed from every system within 48 hours.

Consent first

Nothing is collected without your explicit consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Frequently asked questions

What is an ATS score?

An ATS score estimates how well your resume matches a job description, based on how many of the job's important skills and terms your resume contains and whether an applicant tracking system can read it. Our checker gives a score out of 100 with the missing keywords.

Is the ATS resume checker really free?

Yes. The checker is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser. Resume Targeting is also free for individuals; we earn money from our enterprise platform, which uses anonymised, aggregated data.

How is this different from ChatGPT or other AI resume writers?

General AI tools write from general training data. Kynoa compares your resume with real hiring patterns from 2,400+ companies and how applicant tracking systems parse resumes, so the changes are specific to the role you want.

How does company-specific targeting work?

We analyse the target company's job postings, the profiles it typically hires and its applicant tracking system, then suggest changes to keywords, structure and framing.

Can I target several companies?

Yes. Create a separate version for each company you apply to. Each is tuned to that company's language and ATS.

How accurate are the pay ranges?

They are built from millions of data points, cross-checked against EPFO records, job postings and anonymised offer letters. Accuracy is highest for common roles in Tier 1 cities.

Can freshers use it?

Yes. For freshers, targeting focuses on education, internships, projects and matching your skills to entry-level postings.

Stop applying everywhere. Start targeting.

Pick one company you really want, and see what it takes to get an interview there.
