What is workforce planning?

Workforce planning turns business targets into a hiring plan and a budget: how many people you need, in which roles and cities, by when, and at what cost. Good plans include expected attrition, because the people who leave have to be replaced on top of any growth.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the cost indices come from?

From the median SDE-II pay in each city relative to Bangalore, using the same benchmark data as our compensation module. On the platform you can switch roles and levels.

Why is replacement cost 0.5× CTC?

Replacing someone typically costs half to twice their annual salary once recruiting, onboarding and lost productivity are counted. This simulator uses the conservative end of that range.
